Install WhatPro
WhatPro installs like any other Shopify app: from the Shopify App Store, into your store, with Shopify handling the permission grant. Installation takes a minute; the setup that follows (connecting WhatsApp, adding a payment method) is covered in the next pages.
Install from the Shopify App Store
Section titled “Install from the Shopify App Store”- Open the WhatPro listing on the Shopify App Store.
- Select Install (or Add app).
- Shopify shows the permissions WhatPro requests. Review them and select Install to confirm.
- Shopify provisions the app and opens it inside your Shopify Admin.
WhatPro runs embedded inside Shopify Admin — there is no separate website to log into for store setup. You will always find it under Apps in your Admin.
Permissions WhatPro requests
Section titled “Permissions WhatPro requests”WhatPro asks for the access it needs to read orders and customers, react to store events, and tag orders as messages are sent. The exact scopes are presented by Shopify on the install screen. At a high level, WhatPro needs to:
- Read orders and customers, so flows can send order confirmations, shipping updates, and recovery messages to the right person.
- React to store events (such as a new order or an abandoned checkout) that trigger automated flows.
- Tag orders to record which messages were sent.
First open
Section titled “First open”When WhatPro opens for the first time, the dashboard shows a setup checklist. The checklist walks you through the steps that take a fresh install to a store that can send live messages:

Some checklist items complete automatically once the underlying state is true — connecting WhatsApp, creating a flow, and choosing a paid plan are detected by WhatPro. Others are marked done when you confirm them.
